Big Room Events
Our sincere thanks to Big Room Events, located in the historic Brewery District and German Village areas, for hosting one of the most unique WPC meetings we’ve ever had! Wendy Vaughan and the staff at The Big Room hosted treated us to a night of whimsical fun in Wonderland, with an Alice in Wonderland décor theme. With the Red-Queen-inspired centerpieces provided by LuvULila, the chess themed linens provided by Linen Care Plus and a stunning Mad Hatter cake by Cupcake Boutique as the centerpiece of a show-stopping Tuscan head table, the room transported us all back to our favorite quirky book. The menu provided by Sidecar Catering was no exception to the detailed room, with delicious citrus shrimp, stuffed dates, and savory asparagus spears, to name a few. The Big Room also provided complimentary beer and wine for the evening that paired perfectly with the hours de vours. Again, thanks to Big Room Events and all our contributing vendors for the wonderful night in Wonderland!

Speaker

 Event Speaker
Dr. Crystal C. Gifford, CFP®
Dr. Gifford gave our WPC membership many valuable pieces of information and inspiration, talking to the guests about how to embrace the concept of wealth and create financial freedom for you and your family. Her acronyms were especially useful, teaching us that WEALTH is about Wisdom, Enlightenment, Appreciation, Leverage, Timelessness and Happiness, but not about the one thing most of us would have thought of first – money. She inspired us all to appreciate what we have, and to make our money work for us, not work for our money. Her tips were focused on helping us boost cash flow, create residual income, leveraging our skills to increase revenue and creating a guilt-free sustainable lifestyle for each of us and our families. Thank you to Dr. Gifford for her inspiring and practical words!

Event Speaker
Kristin Kern, President & CEO of Kernacopia LTD

Kristin Kern, President and CEO of Kernicopia, LTD was our guest speaker for our March meeting. Kernicopia is a full service marketing group, whose services include branding and website management, which were the highlights of her talk with the WPC membership.

Kern focused on how branding and brand identity can be your biggest asset as a small business, and she spoke to how your website should always be in tune with your branding efforts. Her messages included advice such as tapping into the personality of your business and using your brand to reflect the core "soul" of your business, and she encouraged our members to refresh their brands if needed to make them work for you, not against you.

Kern also gave general tips on how to improve our websites, and as an added treat, she had her team assess every WPC member's website for a more in-depth analysis. If you would like to have Kristin's team share their assessment of your website with you free of charge, you can contact her at  Kristin@kernacopia.com.

Event Speakers
Jim Davis-Hicks, Thirst Relief International

Jim Davis-Hicks, a visionary leader and philanthropic wedding photographer from Columbus, delivered an inspiring message of how to make your everyday life a giving one. Davis-Hicks, who inspiringly weaves the thirst relief efforts of his organization Thirst Relief International  into his everyday life as a wedding photographer, was an amazing example of how you can use cause marketing to change the world just by weaving your passions into your work. His message titled "Thirst for more: Passion, Purpose, Profit and Productivity" motivated our WPC audience to dream big today. His presentation capitalized on the need to make your impact on the world now, and not to wait for what he called your "age 50", or the time when you would be retired and have the "time" to make a difference. His message of "don't put off until tomorrow what can be done today" spoke to how our lives can be enriched by a daily philanthropic way of thinking, and to change the world just takes a small shift in your day-to-day way of life.

Jim Davis-Hicks is a great example of how to dream big - Thirst Relief International started as nothing more than one man's mission to change the world, and to date his organization as saved more than 204,000 lives from the worldwide water crisis.
